Girls Grove
Girls' Grove is a fun sacred space for girls 8 - 16 years old. It is about being in a loving community of peers where girls can be independent, choose what they want to do, and still be supervised.
Girls Grove is a place to be cooperative, create, talk, learn, share, play, and participate in events, and projects. There will be a schedule of events every day. Books, makeup, hair and art stuff, menstrual gear, herbal potions, tea, blankets, pillows, and music will be all around.
Kayla Becker will be supervising and available throughout the day and evening to watch over the schedule, share, and answer questions. During the gathering, you are welcome to attend any wonderful classes at the Faery Garden Youth Village. You are also welcome to attend adult classes for all ages.
Be sure to review our Girls Grove Welcome letter which has details of what to bring. You will also need to complete a medical release for each of your daughters under 18.
Once a girl arrives at Girls Grove her parent will sign a permission form. Kayla Becker will be the contact person for support and connection.

Kayla Becker
I live on 18 beautiful acres of Vermont wilderness in a home my husband Ray and I built. We have two wonderful adult children who both live in California. I am a reproductive health educator and am currently teaching a class at our local high school in Reproductive Justice.
Teaching girls about their reproductive bodies and lives is a major focus of my work. I am also a psychospiritual bodyworker focusing on abdominal therapy and women's health. I earned my Master's degree in 2022 and am now working slowly on a PhD in Somatic Psychology always with a focus on girls' and women's health. It is a great honor for me to be the co-director of Girls Grove with Hazel Grove.

Stories in the Wind: Crafting Prayer Flags for a Special Woman, with Lucretia Jones
This workshop is designed for young girls to celebrate and honor a special woman in their lives—a grandmother, great-aunt, or another female ancestor. Using recycled fabric, you’ll create colorful prayer flags that carry memories, love, and gratitude into the world.
We’ll begin by talking about the importance of remembering and celebrating the women who came before us. You’ll have time to think about someone special, share a story, or reflect on what makes her inspiring.
Next, you’ll choose fabric from old clothing or scraps and use simple tools like fabric markers, paint, and stencils to create your flags. Add symbols, words, or pictures that remind you of the woman you’re honoring—her favorite flower, something she loved, or a word that describes her.
No sewing or fancy art skills are needed—just your creativity and a big heart! As you work, you’ll get to think about all the ways this woman made your life better and how you can keep her memory alive.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a string of prayer flags to hang in a special spot, spreading love and honoring her legacy. This activity is a fun and meaningful way to connect with your family history while crafting something unique and beautiful.
