Ancestor Altar

Honoring those who have come before us...

The Ancestor Altar is the symbolic connection of all women. We are all born through a womb, nurtured by the feminine and connected by our Moon blood. When we leave our physical bodies, a part of us returns to the Great Mother. Our ancestors made the journey so that we could be born on the planet at this time, to nurture the feminine qualities the Earth needs for healing, to heal ourselves and to love the community that surrounds us. The Ancestor Altar honors our connection to the women of our past as we go forth to be the women of the future.

At Red Earth, we will co-create an altar to honor our ancestors. Please bring items for the altar for the duration of the gathering, to be brought home by you at the end of our time together.  Items may include pictures, statues, or anything that symbolizes your ancestors.

Living at a home outside of Lahara, Colorado, where the bison will soon roam, my indigenous spirit has been called back to help grandmother Earth heal. Along with training in Shimon medicine, breath, work, meditation, and many years in India at the Oneness! ❤️ movement, I am a devoted seeker to help and human suffering. As a mother of two sons - suns - it has been an honor to bring life into this world. 13 Moons Ranch and Oriana Moebius have been a second home for many years and welcome me as family. Being at the Red Earth Gathering♥️ for the fourth year is a dream come true to watch the magic of women and children deepening loving community and blessing the land, the water and giving heart-wisdom in this place, so sacred, at the foot of.Wi Magua. The ancestors are always watching cheering us on guiding us, so to construct the altar in honoring of those who came before us is a great honor this stowed on me by Astrid, and I am deeply deeply humbled!
