Hands on Medicine Making: Fresh Plant Tallow Balms, 6 hour Preconference, Adults, All Levels
In this immersive, hands-on workshop we return to one of the oldest forms of topical plant medicine: freshly harvested botanicals slowly infused into rendered animal fats. Together we will render high-quality pasture-raised tallow, work with fresh seasonal plants, and create nourishing bone deep medicinal balms suitable for nerve regeneration, skin repair, inflammation, wound care, muscular tension, daily anointing and much much more.

Students will learn how to infuse fresh plants into tallow, prepare them for fat-based extraction, and create layered infusions using both tallow and complementary herbal oils. This is a rare opportunity to experience the full process from raw ingredients to finished balm — including sensory evaluation, ratios, shelf-stability, and fresh plants aromatic elements.

Topics covered include:

• indications for topical herbalism

• rendering and clarifying tallow for medicine making

• fresh plant infusion techniques

• formulating balms with infused oils for texture + medicinal action

• storage, shelf-life, labeling, and home apothecary best practices

Each participant will take home the knowledge to continue making tallow medicines in their own kitchens and community.

Plant Walk: Nourishing Plants Inside & Outside Medicine: 1.5 hour, Adults, All Levels

A slow, sensory plant walk focused on the deeply nourishing plants growing close to us in abundance, those that restore from the inside out and protect, soothe, and repair the body both internally and externally.

Together we’ll meet plant allies that feed the blood, strengthen tissues, calm the nervous system, and support long-term vitality. We’ll explore internal applications such as infusions, teas, foods, and tinctures, alongside external uses including oils, salves, poultices, baths, and compresses.

This walk emphasizes relationships: how to listen to plants through taste, touch, and intuition; how to harvest respectfully; and how to bring their medicine into daily life in simple, practical ways. Grounded in Wise Woman traditions and earth based herbalism, this offering is about nourishment as a way of remembering wholeness inside and out.

Artemisia Vulgaris as an Onierogen: 1.5 hour, Adults, All Levels
Deepening our Communication Through Dream Work - Be held in the space of Artemisia vulgaris, The Wise Crone, the silver one that lights up the dark underside, seeing through the shadow. What does she have to teach us? The ancient dream weaver, light weaver, boundary teacher, she is known as a lunar herb of the Wise Woman path, she also lights us up through her biophotonic expression. In this class, we explore Artemisia vulgaris as a true oneirogen: a plant that opens the gates of inner vision, heightens symbolic perception in our sleeping and waking state, and strengthens our ability to receive guidance from the dreaming realms. We will weave in story medicine.

Through embodied practice, plant preparations, and subtle-body awareness, we will explore how Croneswort works with the nervous system, relaxes the physical body, and awakens the liminal senses that make dream work possible. You’ll learn how her sesquiterpene lactones and aromatic oils interact with the brain, liver, and psychic centers—clarifying intuition, enhancing dream recall, and deepening nocturnal communication with the unconscious. Does she play well with others?

The Long Path Healing Trauma through the Lens of Shamanic Herbalism: 1.5 hour, Adults, All Levels

We will enter the body and explore trauma through ancestral resonance—an earth-based, non-pathologizing, spirit-centered framework that honors the wisdom carried in our lineages. We will explore what it means to walk the path of the shamanic apprentice: learning directly from plant teachers, Earth medicines, and entheogens as living guides.

What are ways we can deepen and cultivate intimate relationships with plants, one ally at a time, discovering how the beings growing closest to us become our grounding, protection, and integration companions? Especially in the context of entheogenic exploration. We will practice creating ritual and personal ceremony with plants to cultivate presence, embodiment and dynamic communication.

Throughout this class, you will learn how simple shamanic journeywork, plant spirit communication, and dream practices support deep repair becoming a way of life. You will learn to weave insights from altered states back into the body, into daily life, and into your personal power. You will strengthen ancestral connection, instinctual wisdom, and the energetic boundaries that allow your healing to take root and flourish.

Fun with Herbs & Intention Crafting Your Own Herbal Tea Blend with Herbs, Dried Fruits & Cacao: 30 minutes, Kids
A playful, heart-centered class for children: Step into a world of color, scent, and imagination as we explore the art of tea blending through the wisdom of plants. In this hands-on class, children learn how to engage their senses, listen to their intuition, and craft their very own herbal tea mix using a beautiful array of kid-friendly herbs, dried fruits, flowers, and cacao.

We’ll begin by meeting each plant—smelling, touching, and learning about its gentle gifts. From aromatics herbs, calming chamomile and lemon balm to bright rose hips, hibiscus petals, sweet apple pieces & berries, and cacao nibs, children choose the ingredients that make their hearts light up.

Together, we’ll explore the power of intention:

• What feeling do you want your tea to hold?

• What do you want your body or heart to remember?

• How can plants help us feel grounded, joyful, safe, courageous or peaceful?

Each child creates a personalized blend, adds their chosen intention, and decorates a special label to take home. This class is sensory, playful, and deeply nourishing—an embodied way for children to learn that Earth’s medicine is joyful, accessible, and filled with wonder.
